" This has to be my favourite Airbnb we have stayed in. The cottage itself was stunning, with nice decor, comfortable furniture and everything we needed for our weekend getaway. The large windows provided lots of natural light and an amazing view to the ocean. What I loved most is that we were surrounded by nature listening to the birds and watching the deer grazing right outside the windows. This has been such a peaceful and serene experience! Susanne is such a lovely and helpful host! Thank you for sharing your beautiful cottage with us!"

" This cottage was MUCH more than a 5 star experience. Between the personal touches and the views, it was everything we could’ve asked for. The cabin was just built and is completely new. The view was breathtaking and we enjoyed the patio furniture to drink our coffee overlooking the water. The kitchen had everything we needed utensils wise. The place was unbelievably clean and pristine. It was plenty big and perfect for two people. (Note that WiFi is spotty as it’s an island and bed is firm but didn’t bother us!) We were blown away by the hospitality and kindness Susanne showed us. Her husband directed us when we got there which we appreciated. She did a private lavender wreath workshop, offered us a fire and smores, had a lovely note and chocolates upon arrival, and gave us so many recommendations. Pender island was such a special place with lots of wildlife, a grocery store and a few restaurants. We decided to extend a day and Susanne was accommodating. We’d love to come back!! "

" Susanne’s cabin is lovely with sweeping views of the bay. The cabin is well provisioned with kitchen essentials and laundry. Hiking, grocery store, coffee shop/bakery, some dining, a winery and a cidery are a short walk or car ride away. We had dinner at Coffee + Kitchen one night (booking a reservation well in advance is recommended) and a quick lunch at Vanilla Leaf. Otherwise we made use of the kitchen and had everything we needed. All in all, it was the perfect BC island getaway! We were able to launch our kayak from the beach in front of the main house and store it on the lawn. Pender is an idyllic island to explore by water, with Saturna and Mayne islands accessible on short day trips for experienced paddlers. We would not hesitate to recommend Susanne’s place and plan to return on our next getaway to Pender! "

" Where do I start? Susanne’s cottage by the sea is amazing!! From the start, Susanne was responsive, friendly, and helpful. The cottage was perfect for our family and she went above and beyond with all of the little details. All the necessities were provided and our stay was perfect. Susanne and her family are so warm and welcoming. We would highly recommend a stay at her cottage for anyone looking for the perfect piece of paradise on Pender Island! "
